Provide Beauty Services As a Beautician, your job Is to provide various types of beauty services. These services could be anything from a hair shampooing, manicures and makeup applications, to an advanced creative hairstyling. Beauticians must be able to listen to the needs of their customers, and provide them with the proper style and service that they request.

Book Appointments Beauticians typically maintain their own schedule of appointments. Occasionally during slow periods, walk-ins may be accepted. Beauticians must also record the treatments and services that they provide for each of their customers. Keeping detailed and organized records helps the Beautician avoid having overlapping appointments, and to have an up to date record of treatment sales as well.

Maintain Equipment and Work Area Keeping their equipment and work area clean is one of the most important duties of being a Beautician. Beauticians must maintain the cleanliness and sterility of their various supplies and equipment. They must also keep an eye on their work area, ensuring that it is clean and presentable. Part of their job also requires being aware of their equipment, making sure that everything is in proper working order, and that they have an adequate amount of items like lotions or gels to provide care to all of their customers.

Beautician’s are highly organized and highly detailed workers, who are in charge of achieving a customer’s beauty demands. They have the ability to provide various types of services, while listening diligently to their customer’s needs to provide the proper care. Along with these skills, employers also look for Beauticians that have the following skills.
