- Developed a plan to renovate the deteriorated structure of a yarn dyeing plant. The plant operated at 100% capacity and could not be shut down for construction. Led team in developing a plan for an expansion to provide space for new machinery. The additional capacity allowed a phased rework of the deteriorated structure. Project was completed without shutting down operations or impacting delivery to customers. Also, increased capacity by 20% allowing reduction of yarn purchased from suppliers. - Managed the design and construction of and 85,000 SF expansion to a C&A fabrics plant to prepare for consolidation of an acquired company. The $7.1 M project included relocation of employee parking lot and underground utilities. Project was completed on schedule to allow for the sequenced relocation of machinery so that shipments to customers were not impacted.
- Developed a Five Year Roof Maintenance Plan for each C&A facility. Assisted the plant engineers in implementing the programs resulting in reduced roofing costs by extending roof service life by 20 – 30%. Developed an annual corporate roofing bid package – by packaging all roofing RFQ’s into a single bid package early each year, leveraged volumes to obtain discounts up to 20%.
